In a bizarre incident, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade was forced to eventually stop after a man jumped in front of the motorcade. The president was on his way to open the Neema abattoir in Lucky summer, Nairobi county before the unusual scenario.
The man was part of the crowd that was standing along the road to wave to the head of the state as he passes by.
After the chase car had passed, the man moved and blocked the president’s care before two presidential guards quickly got hold of the man even as appeared to plead with them.
This comes after the last week’s scenario where a man from the crowd made his way towards Uhuru Kenyatta as he was reading his speech.
He moved backwards before his security guards quickly hold the man. He identified himself as a Lamu resident who wanted to talk to the president about lack of jobs.
The man carried his National Identification card.
Neema is a sh300 million slaughterhouse owned by 3,000 livestock farmers and has an installed daily slaughter capacity of 12,000 and 6,000 small stock for local and export markets respectively. Over 85 percent of their livestock are sold overseas.
