In 1966, the ruling cabal dominated by the Kiambu mafia plotted humiliation and detention of Patriots associated with VP Jaramogi. The infamous Limuru conference same year created 8 provincial vice presidents to whittle down Jaramogi’s powers. Ever the principled personality, he resigned. Kenyatta put him on house arrest. In a most ungrateful manner, Colonial detainees (Kapenguria 6) Ochieng’ Aneko and Bildad Kaggia were detained by a govt they sacrificed and suffered to install. Kagia was made to sweep streets near his Kenol home while dressed in tattered prison uniforms. Moi thro Rubia tried to rehabilitate Kagia (coffee board 1981) but the mafia wouldn’t allow it. Just as Moi tried to rehabilitate Jaramogi (cotton lint 1980). Kibaki built a road thro Kaggia’s home in honor. I think Aneko’s son Dr. Ang’ong’a got a KTB job thro Kibaki in honor of his father, though himself ably qualified.
1969, the man who crafted Kenya’s economic blueprint, TJ Mboya was assassinated by the mafia. The assassin was discovered strolling in Lusaka, Zambia, as govt of the day lied he was already hanged at Kamiti. The MP who leaked the matter did not last for a week on return. Mboya’s friend and co-author of the economics agenda, Mwai Kibaki, remembered to honor TJ when he became President. Just as he did Dedan Kimathi and the Mau Mau, lifting the ban ignored by Kenyatta and his protege Moi.

1975, JM was killed. Likes Mboya, the assassination shook the core of the nation. Only Minister Kibaki attended JM’s funeral. His family and properties were raided. It is noteworthy that JM was the only Kikuyu to attend the Mboya funeral on Rusinga Island. Back to 1969. Kikuyus were oathed to at all costs defend the throne to never leave the house. And after JM’S death, anyone associated with him was alienated and crashed, and others “moderated”.
- As I have published often, the failure of the opposition to united 1992 was the work of the multiethnic mafia, hellbent to prevent an Odinga presidency. When Raila in 1997 joined hands with Kibaki to reject the rigged presidential elections, he was left “hanging” with Karume. But when 2002 Raila stormed County Hall to demand Kibaki be announced winner, ECK’s Kivuitu had to submit. You’d listen to Dr. Gikonyo’s narration of how Raila saved the day when all systems wished Kibaki dead.
2007, nobody knows who won. Justice Kriggler said as much. While some of us didn’t mind a Raila win, the atrocity, murder and forced transfer of Kikuyus from ODM-controlled zones made us distance from him, and demand accountability for the heinous actions. In an ironic turn of events, we victims were depicted as villains, even listed in infamous lists of culprits for standing for the truth. But we are past that. I was in the grand coalition govt, and I saw mandarins humiliating the Prime Minister even as some of his appointees were recruited to rebel. But I also saw it firsthand alienation of key Kibaki stalwarts like Martha Karua. After all the sacrifices.
2013 and 2017. The jury is still out there, although it is the latter episode that stays irrefutably unresolved. In both, as in 1966, 69, 75, 1980, 92, 97…there is a common rhythm.
The RHYTHM
————-
Every time the mafia are under siege, they whip tribal emotions and hate. 2017 many Luos (Raila supporters) were killed so that we could move on after messing 2017 elections. Raila, through personal will and intention to stabilize and reconcile the country, as well as underhand juicy deals (which sycophants and himself will deny), agreed to stop the RESIST program and to handshake his political nemesis. The country found peace and harmony. People like myself had called for this to happen, and readily embraced the magnanimity when it came from H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta Rt Hon Raila Odinga. BBI was born. Some of us openly and in other more solid ways lobbied for a Raila Presidency post-Uhuru. We declined invitations to partner with other senior wannabes because we truly believed a Raila helm will bring reconciliation and heal the country. We honestly believed that the oldies have also been seduced by a “mellowed” Odinga pedigree.
- I was in Raila’s office when he declared NYS “new facts have emerged”. The TV clips showing the most accused on NYS1 leaving Tinga’s Capito. Because I was in a separate wing, I declined to speak to the media because I hadn’t known what had happened, though I had, atop a handler’s office window, seen the guest arrive. I still to date don’t know why Tinga did that, because there was nothing for him to gain except carrying loads he didn’t have to. But I may have been wrong. BBI shenanigans came with other dimensions.
- Uhuru’s eyes are on Musalia-Moi, escorted by Kalonzo. This explains “INCLUSIVITY”. I still remain skeptical if Uhuru wants to retire. It is CONSTITUTIONALLY provided so. But why does the question keeps coming up, even on CNN interview? Did anyone ask Kibaki if he’d retire? To be sure, Kibaki’s retirement home Mweiga started being put up in 2012. Where is Uhuru’s? But that may be sublime. We are asking, would a retiring Head of State and Government be opening so many battlefronts barely a year to his exit? Why is Raila being isolated?
1966 is 2021. What mafia did to Jaramogi they want to do to Ruto? It is heinous crime reincarnation. This tendentious approach is selfish and wrong.
As I wrote 2 weeks ago, the enemy of Mt Kenya people is not Raila and Ruto. It is the gluttonous mafia who think they own Kenya incorporated. They take OUR SOVEREIGN TERRITORY AS THEIR OWN KINGDOM. Their fate and their interests survived and thrived even when Moi massacred the Economy. It is only when Kibaki took over that their banks and their stocks bourse opened to most. It is only when Kibaki took over that a middle class expanded and children of peasants returned in droves to FPE. And it is only when Kibaki took over those premier institutions were named Jaramogi, Kimathi, Muliro. It is only when Kibaki took over that Mboya, Kimathi monuments were built. It is only when Kibaki took over that the Mau Mau ban was lifted and Mau Mau heroes somehow compensated.

Mwai Kibaki 2012 rushed from Adis Ababa, Ethiopia, wearing gumboots dashed Othaya to rescue his PNU councilor candidate against near defeat by nondescript GNU in Karima Ward, Othaya. But Kibaki the ever-amiable affable tolerant democrat never ordered any tear gas on his unrelenting opponents, least of all “mere” MPs of his very party in his backyard! And Kibaki never sacked the sponsor of GNU from the cabinet. Following year, he let GNU win the Nyeri Governor seat even when he had his “vision2030” candidate. Not even when the GNU winner had a year earlier instigated a stormy disruption of President Kibaki’s road construction event even in Mathira. He only brushed it off lightly, leaving the judiciary to handle it eventually.
My message to my: Mr. Preident Uhuru Kenyatta, when you have finished “eating” your own, and ravenously devour Raila and Ruto (politically speaking), you will have nothing else to eat but yourself.
We told you to open a Public Inquest to deal with the allegations against your Deputy. Yes, we simultaneously on 1st January 2020 urged you to implement TJRC, Ndung’u, and Kroll reports. Instead, DCI and DPP, and EACC were turned into POLITICAL WEAPONS. The momentum on War on Graft was lost. BBI became a deodorant, aka MWOSHO MOJA.
Now Raila (who is not without a blemish on BBI chicanery anyway) and Ruto (who never stood for anyone suffering under regime venom and atrocities anyway) are on their way out, nay, they are OUT. You have failed to unite the country and nurture a new dispensation as prescribed by CoK2010. The din in your party is unequal to the avalanche of anger, grievances in 2017 casualties of OT Morpho filth. The stench of Cambridge Analytica Analytica won’t go away if IEBC crimes stay unpunished. Once BBI is baptized in the CAs, wait and see what comes of an ill-advised referendum! Then the decay of a handshake bridge. Sir, if you can kindly ask those you trust to loudly reread the 9-points pronounced on the stairs of Harambee house on 9th March 2018. The echoes of wasted opportunity will reverberate to you.
Mr. President, do as you may but any attempt to impose anyone on Kenyans 2022 akin to Moi’s affront on internal KANU rules 2002, will flop, falter, fail. And, it is too late to take any credible action on your Ruto now. You are tied at the hips. Safari sharti ikamilike kiUhuRuto! While some of us desire and wish for a breath of freshness, a reprieve from this Cacophonous regime – probably a Kituyi/Kibwana ticket, or anyone else even from your village! – we won’t celebrate any extra-constitutional method to remove your Deputy. It is untimely and obnoxious. And even any betrayal of Raila will equally be resisted, for it’ll be an absurd repeat of what “we” did in awamu ya kwanza na awamu ya tatu. Sir, you must step back and let river Sagana flow in its course. Stop acrimonious politics. Concentrate on concluding your legacy footprints.
CentralKenya cannot accept remaining to be perceived as the graveyard of political dishonesties and betrayals, just because a gluttonous mafia heartless roots for selves against all masses of Kenya. And, this is NOT 2008 when those of us who admired and supported Obama were called “Luo-sympathisers”, of “Raila type” just because we are from Mount Kírínyaga. Even MweneNyaga knows our hearts.
I, your 2013 avid supporter and member of your Presidential campaign ThinkTank and media debate representative, and your trusting friend 2013-2015 alongside countless unspeaking others will steadfastly oppose any extra-constitutional means to deal with your rivals or anyone you may want to “reduce to size”. We stood for you to say “NoToICC’ neo-colonial venture. We won. But you aren’t looking back to days of holy oils poured on you, to indemnify your pursuit, nor are you “chilling” to recall the tears of old women crying to supplicate Almighty of Kírínyaga to save you from neo-colonial demons. The tears today are of thousands regretting why they knelt down to seek divine intervention for your fate.
Sir, you have lowered the bar and disappointed those who supported fervently and trusted you beyond reproach. You have let down the country, but brokers and crooks around you won’t tell you the truth. Yet even if they don’t tell you the reality, you have CREDIBLE daily Intelligence briefs. The professionals are giving you facts that you’ve elected to trash. You choose NOT to listen or act to redeem.
I forward you this open letter as a well-meaning person who, in your own words Friday 6th February 2016 said is “publicly spirited and honest”. EVERYWHERE, IT IS NOT WELL. WE CAN PERSEVERE THE RETURN OF IMF, BUT WE WILL RESIST THE RETURN OF ARAP MOI TYRANNY.
Pick the gauntlet, the buck stops with you, Sir. NO LONGER AT EASE, THE CENTRE CANNOT HOLD, THINGS FALL APART.
RÚÚÍ RWA THAGANA NÍRÚIYÙRÚ, RÚTIKÚHINGÍRÍRIO NA GÍTENDE.
