Mukhisa said that he is building a momentum for his presidency and have not discussed with former Prime Minister on supporting each other.
“I have not come to any moment that I consider that I want to support Raila. I’m building a momentum for the Kituyi candidature,” Mukhisa said.
Raila Odinga who is yet to publicly announce his presidential bid, skipped the National Prayer Breakfast and instead met with Mukhisa Kituyi.
The two have been having several meetings triggering speculations over their political game.

“I have not, at any meetings I have had with him, promised that I’m going to support him for president. I am running for presidentand looking for persons of shared direction to see how to unlock our steps,” Kituyi said.
It has also been said that the former Trade and Industry Minister, is someone’s project. Mukhisa dismissed such claims.
“I want to be president for what I stand for and not someone urging me. The President of Kenya is not urging me to vie come 2022,” Mukhisa said.
Mukhisa while talking about one of the front runners Deputy President William Ruto, he said Ruto is a strong campaigner and a political animal.
“I have listened to what Ruto stands for, he is a strong campaigner, he is a very political animal, but there are some things questionable about the level of wealth he has put together,” he added.
