Denmark international Christian Eriksen is recuperating in hospital after he went down during Denmark vs Finland Euro 2021 match.
The former Tottenham midfielder Collapsed some minutes before half-time, sending players from all the teams in a great shock.
The referee of the match, Antony Tailor immediately stopped the play for paramedics to rush and attend to the 29-year-old midfielder, where to offered him a prolonged treatment before being rushed to hospital.
UEFA has confirmed that the group B match which was going down at Parken Stadium has been suspended, following the incident.
UEFA further said in their tweet that a ‘crisis’ meeting has been held by both teams and their officials and more information will be communicated later.
“The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilized,” UEFA confirmed.
The Danish federation has also said in their tweet that that Eriksen is awake and undergoing further examinations at Righospitalet.
