According to Coast Region Police Commander Paul Ndambuki, the next course of action is to send detectives from where the complaint was lodged to liaise with detectives.
“He seems to be elusive and the next course of action is to send detectives from where the complaint was lodged to liaise with detectives in Nairobi or any other location where he will be found to enable us record his statement and prefer relevant charges against him,” Ndambuki stated.
While speaking about the same, Ndambuki said that the matter is still active and the complaint is still ready to pursue the matter before a court of law.
Ndambuki also noted that they will forward the file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) office to enable them seek warrant arrest for the suspect.
“We cannot continue holding the file since the matter is still active and the complaint is still ready to pursue the matter before a court of law. We will have the file forwarded to the office of the DPP to enable us seek a warrant of arrest for the suspect and further directions,” Ndambuki stated.
“Detectives have already recorded statements of four other witnesses who saw what transpired,” he added.
According to the complaint Diana Opemi Lutta in the OB statement, the former trade minister pushed her from the bed and continued kicking her after she fell on the ground hence sustaining injuries.
However, Kituyi denied the assault claims.
According to the accused, he has never beaten a woman nor intend to do so in his life.
