The furor surrounding Francis Atwoli road signpost has taken another twist after a man issued a dire warning to anyone who plans to vandalize it.
In a video doing rounds on social media platforms, the man whose identity has not yet been revealed said Atwoli is respected elder worldwide.
“Francis Atwoli is a name that is respected worldwide. Yesterday as they were planning to pull down the road signpost, Francis Atwoli was being elected the representative of workers,” the man stated.

While continuing he said that Atwoli is a Kenyan and deserve to be honored.
“He is a brand, he is ours, he is a Kenyan, he has every right to be given honor. Bible says give honor where honor is due,” the man said.
In a statement that he quoted Bonface Mwangi, the man warned those planning to commit the act again saying that this time they won’t joke again.
“We are telling them, hooligans, jingoists and the likes of Bonface Mwangi to be warned. We have put it back, come again, this time we are not going to joke around,” he warned.
“This is Francis Atwoli Road, it was given to him by the Nairobi County Government. All MCAs voted unanimously for Francis Atwoli Road, so we are talking about the person who was given honor,” he said.
He also noted that those dishonoring Atwoli, will be dealt with.
He finished recording the video by urging the person who plans to vandalize the road to come again.
The man was talking after the road signpost had been restored.
Atwoli road signpost was burned by unknown people.
On pictures that were shared and circulated on social media, the road signpost was burned using tires.
That was not the first time the road signpost was being vandalized.
