A licensed gun holder has shot and injured a woman named Phanice Chemutai on Kitale after mistaking her for the rogue Caroline Kangogo who is on the run.
“Phanice Chemutai Juma has been shot in the abdomen by Ken Muyundo, a licensed firearm holder, at the Kiminini Market in Trans Nzoia County. This is on suspicion that she was the wanted killer cop Caroline Kangogo.” Northrift News Reported
The woman is now receiving treatment at Kitale hospital following the gun shot to her abdomen.
According to eyewitnesses, they were shocked with the Friday noon incident after the man shot Chemutai in broad daylight.
Apparently, Ken Muyundo is a renowned businessman running several hotels dubbed Iroko in Kitale. The man is said to have received a number of calls from the unknown woman telling him to meet her in Kiminini.
The shooting of Phanice Chemutai comes in the wake of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) advising the public, especially men, to be cautious of Caroline Kangogo since she is armed and dangerous. Besides, the police officers have requested the netizens to make a report if they set their eyes on the rogue woman who is now walking in a buibui.
Caroline Kangogo whose whereabouts remain unknown was accused of being behind the death of two men namely constable Ogweno of Nakuru and Peter Ndwiga of Juja.
Shockingly, no one heard of any gun shot during the night, prompting a number of residents to ask questions on how the plan was well executed.
Constable John Ogweno was found murdered in cold blood inside his car at a car park at Kasarani police line in Nakuru county.
Kenyaphotographer reported that the rogue officer who took off with Ogweno’s firearm and a loaded ceska pistol, lured a man to Dedamax Hotel in Kimbo, Juja at around 4pm. She later emerged from the room at around midnight & fled to an unknown destination, leaving the dead man’s body sprawled on the bed.
Postmortem results indicate sharp shooter Caroline Kangogo strategically killed Peter Ndwiga with a single shot from a close range.
The autopsy conducted by government pathologist John Maithya further revealed the victim was shot by Kangogo from left to right ears at close range.
The postmortem was done at the General Kago Hospital mortuary in Juja with doctors opining that the Juja businessman was murdered by a single bullet.
The results further disclosed that Peter Ndwiga might have succumbed to too much bleeding as a result of the huge impact of the close gunshot.
