During the 2013 and 2017 campaigns, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto promised Kenyans heaven. This has not been delivered and probably won’t be delivered considering their term is ending in a year’s period.
The truth of the matter is that Kenyans are suffering even more under this regime. Taxes have been hiked, everything including the essential commodities is taxed, income opportunities which were limited even before covid have dwindled. Kenyans are barely living.
The economy is limping to oblivion while the president Kenyans elected with a lot of hopes is busy playing power games.
He is much more concerned about the succession politics than any other thing.
To add salt in the wound, he publicly admitted how his government is losing Sh2 million per day. He proceeded to give Members of County Assemblies car grant to pass a Bill that is unconstitutional, as per the court ruling.
The rate of unemployment is high and still on the increase, instead the man Kenyans had hopes in has maintained his braggadocio on how he has performed.
The attention of Moi University comrades was captured by one of the students who was walking around the campus asking for help. Her sister was admitted at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, the hospital bill accumulated to Sh6 million. Due to home condition and inability to raise that amount her mother committed suicide.
Mr. Kenyatta should now ditch his personal interest and resuscitate the Big Four Agenda, Food Security, Affordable Housing, Manufacturing and Affordable Healthcare.
I doubt if Kenyans need BBI for the Big 4 agendas to be implemented.
In 21st century it is hard to believe that Kibera slam still exist and there are people living there.
The manifesto of those dreaming to succeed President Uhuru have one thing in common, revamping the economy. Everyone believe that economy is wobbling, even those close to him like his brother Raila Odinga.
Mr. President, stop power games. Save Kenyans first for your successor to find a country to lead, otherwise Kenya will be dead by 2022.
