If Joyce Nyambura, 34 could have known that her boyfriend was planning to end her life just days before she left for Qatar then she could have not accepted to meet him this week.
However, love drove the 34-year-old lady to go and meet her lover who has been identified as Bolden Nyakundi who allegedly ended her life in cold blood.
Nyambura was allegedly stabbed to death by the suspect on the left side of her abdomen and mouth. In addition, she also had bruises on her head.
Speaking to this reporter, the family said that it was still seeking justice hoping that eventually police officers and sleuths attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) would nab the suspect.
“If he did not want my sister to leave the country then he could have sorted the matter in an amicable way instead of taking her life away,” Derrick Muchiri the brother said.
Nyambura was scheduled to leave the country on Friday, July 29 in order to seek green pastures for her three children.
It has emerged that Nyambura’s husband died four years ago after a fire burnt him while he was asleep in the house.
Nyambura had struggled to get a job in Kenya for years but was not able and she always got support from her other siblings.
Muchiri said that the suspect used to make visits to Nyambura who was living with her younger sister in Maziwa area in order to meet her.
The deceased was found lying in a pool of blood right outside the doorstep of their house by neighbors who alerted the family.
Nyambura’s body was taken to Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
