Deputy President William Ruto has today been forced to postpone two crucial UDA’s events that were slated to take place tomorrow and Sunday in Mt Kenya region.
The Hustler Nation chief was set to attend a church service at Ikuu PCEA church in Tharaka Nithi county where he was to be accompanied by several UDA allied lawmakers. The second in command has postponed the anticipated heroic event following the new directives issued by the Health CS Mutahi Kagwe to ban all public gatherings and political rallies.
DP Ruto together with the Tangatanga battalions have been largely trimmed after the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai also delivered a chilling warning to politicians who may break the odds and disobey the COVID-19 protocols to face the wrath of the law.
Mutyambai has put all the security departments on a crucial task to apprehend people who may not observe the new COVID-19 guidelines as stipulated by the Ministry of Health.
At the same time, controversies have rocked the air on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s planned three-day tour in Western region to commission several government projects this week. The head of state is expected to be received by Mulembe Nation leaders as his three-day tour kicks off days after meeting county governors from the region at State House in Mombasa.
