Ford Kenya has joined ODM, ANC and Wiper party in their move to ditch the moribund National Super Alliance.
“Ford Kenya now and hereby resigns with immediate effect from NASA,” Ford Kenya party leader stated.
This comes few days after other party leaders within the NASA coalition including Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) in different occasions announced to ditch NASA that is now heading towards political oblivion.
According to Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, the latest move by NASA principals to disband the party has not yet been formal since none of them has formally written to him as the law dictates.
“I have not received any communication from the three parties. Maybe they are still writing them,” Nderitu said.
ANC was the first to quit followed by Wiper before ODM also made the announcement to exit the party.
ANC, Wiper and Ford Kenya are expected to strengthen One Kenya Alliance in which they are members.
However, wrangles are likely emerged in the nascent One Kenya Alliance over who to be the presidential candidate in the next general elections since both Kalonzo and Mudavadi have declared to be on the ballot.
Senator Gideon Moi has also refused to formally exit Jubilee party and join One Kenya Alliance.
