Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has delivered a contentious message to the ODM party, hours after de-whipping him from the party Chairperson position in Kilifi County.
Taking it to his social media handles, the ODM loyalist informed that he steered for the success of the party in the region for nine years and spiked any motion that would be beneficial to the ODM party both in the county and across other parts of the country.
“As I respect the decision of the ODM party to replace me as the Kilifi County ODM Party Chairman, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the Party and more particularly, the party leader the Rt Hon. Raila Odinga for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Kilifi County ODM Chairman for the past nine years,” he stated.
Kingi also wished the Ganze MP Hon Teddy Mwambire who replaced him an easy time of spearheading to the party to greater heights.
Governor Kingi was ousted today Tuesday 10th August 2021 as the ODM party Chairman in Kilifi County for allegedly being disloyal to the party leader Raila Odinga.
It was also established that the Kilifi county chief has been inciting steps in the ODM party to create perceived internal conflicts between the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and the Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
