Dramatic scene has erupted during the ongoing burial ceremony of the late Mahoo Ward MCA Hon Ronald Hanel Sagurani in Taita Taveta County after the police stormed the ceremony and allegedly chased away mourners as they pulled down the erected tents.
According to the sources close to the family members, the police allegedly claimed to have been ordered to heighten the COVID-19 protocols which requires that the number of funeral attendees shouldn’t exceed 100 people including the family members of the deceased.
The second in command DP Ruto has already arrived for the final send-off the late Ward Representative where the burial service is currently being held in a closed building following the tough Police’s order.
