After weeks of quietude, independence party Kanu has broken silence over its preparation regarding the upcoming general elections even as Tiaty Mp William Kamket hints on next move.
Speaking on Tuesday, Tiati MP William Kamket has said that Gideon Moi is ready to make a major announcement that will take Kenyans by surprise.
“There is a lot happening now that we shall make a huge announcement in the next three days. Kenyans will be hearing the news they have been waiting for.” Said Kamket.
The fierce Gideon Moi supporter said that Kenyans have been wondering what the son of former second president of Kenya is up to after the court of appeal threw out BBI process.
“What does the senator of Baringo want? In the next few days, you will be hearing that Senator Gideon Moi is going to make a very major announcement that will shake the major political landscape in this country.”
Kamket was quick to note that the ruling threw One Kenya Alliance power sharing arrangement into tatters and it was time that Kanu chatted its own political path.
“OKA brought together four likeminded politicians with a view of forming power in 2022. After the last meeting in Naivasha, they have not met. I must candidly say that COA ruling changed the situation on the ground. I can assure you that BBI was preparing the way for power sharing arrangement in 2022. It is not business as usual.” Confessed Kamket.
The latest development is the clearest indication yet that OKA alliance will disintegrate before the ink dries on the deal that was signed a few weeks ago.
Kenyans can only wait to hear what direction senator Moi will take, but going by Kamket’s utterances, Kanu is ready to battle it out for the top seat come 2022.
Question is, will Gideon Moi back DP Ruto or he will go it alone
