Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is under siege from Wiper leaders who have threatened to abandon him should he choose to work with Raila Odinga again in 2022 for presidency.
The politicians lead by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua told Musyoka in no uncertain terms that he will be alone if he chose that path.
The newest development comes just days after it occurred that the future of OKA coalition was in tatters after Gideon Moi and Musalia signaled their intentions to run for presidency.
“Should our party leader ever make the decision to support the Rt. Hon Raila Amolo Odinga for presidency, we respectfully assure him of two very painful outcomes,” said Senator Wambua.
The leaders said that it will be unforgivable for him to work with Odinga againt.
“What we are saying that our people are saying is Kalonzo cannot support Raila again. We can support any other person within OKA but not Raila,” Wambua said.
They however promised to stick together in OKA.
“We encourage our principals to stand firmly together and fight off any attempt, explicit and or veiled by any person to divide them,” the statement further read.
Speaking during the same event, Mp Makai Mulu of Kitui Central said deputizing Odinga will be akin to doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
“What our people are saying is that they don’t have anything personal against Raila, but what they are saying is they have supported Raila two times but nothing has happened,” Mulu said.
Present during the press meeting were Irene Kasalu (Kitui Woman Representative), Dan Maanzo (Makueni), Makai Mulu (Kitui Central), Edith Nyenze (Kitui West) and Danson Mwashako (Wundanyi).
