Interior PS karanja Kibicho has now come out to make clarification about the allegations that he is in the race to replace Anne Waiguru as the next governor of Kirinyaga county.
Speaking in Mwea, in the presence of Kirinyaga Women Representative Purity Ngirici and her husband Adrew Ngirici, he said he is not interested in vying for Kirinyaga governor and his mission is only to bring change to Kirinyaga which is not political motive.
“My mission in bringing change to Kirinyaga is not in any way politically motivated,” he said.
While adding he said he is currently interested in bringing stability and peace during the electioneering period.

“For now I have a job in the national government which is to oversee the stability and peace of the nation in this season and during the electioneering period,” he added.
He said allegations that he is in race for gubernatorial seat are rumors.
“Rumors that I’m going for the gubernatorial seat have no basis as President Uhuru Kenyatta has entrusted me to ensure that there is security in the country, a job I intended to continue doing,” he clarified.
“We expect that under Presidency of Uhuru Kenyatta, our county MPs will utilize their term in seeking support of their people, including visiting me for help,” he said.
Kirinyaga gubernatorial race is about to intensify with different key figures joining the race including Purity Ngirici, Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua and others.
Seating governor Anne Waiguru is also expected to defend her seat.
