The disintegration of former NASA coalition weeks ago seems to have exposed Raila and ODM’s rotten underbelly.
With many pundits focusing on Raila’s quest to get inroads into the vote rich Mt. Kenya, one Kenyan has given a different perspective on the state of affairs in ODM’s quest to clinch power in 2022.
The post which has since gone viral perhaps points why Raila is yet to openly declare his candidacy for 2022 presidential elections.
Recently in Kakemega after a delegates meeting, Odinga told his supporters that he is waiting for poll numbers is released when IEBC concludes voter registration exercise.
“The support base Raila enjoyed in 2017 no longer exists after the hand cheque in 2018. The Kamba and the Luyha communities have lost all faith in him. He said he will only declare his presidential bid if he gets the numbers after the polls are released in Oct. He has accepted his fate. You only need t read the comments from the Luyhas online in today’s newspaper. You will know that his days in politics are over.” Said the Kenyan on Facebook.
Raila Odinga in 2013 and 2017 elections reaped big in the huge Luyha and Kamba votes, and he is banking on their support to beat UDA’s William Ruto who today has a fanatical following in Mt. Kenya.
