Mombasa Governor Hasan Joho is warning those who think that his support and influence in the region is dwindling saying he has not run out of ideas.
The second term governor was speaking on Saturday at Wild Waters Complex during the ODM coast delegates.
“You need to know that I’m not bankrupt of ideas,” Joho assured.
He said he is the voice of the Coast people.
“I have a duty to for the Coast people,” Joho said.
Joho also said that Coastal people must not beg and must get the share they legally deserve.
“We no longer want to be seen begging all the time. We want to get our fair share legally,” he said.
On his said, ODM leader Raila Odinga said that he doesn’t need followers he only need partners.
“I am not here to look for followers. I am here to look for partners,” Raila stated.
Other governors who attended the meeting were Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja, Tana River Governor Dhado Godana and Kisii Governor James Ongwae.
Absent with apologies were Lamu Governor Fahim Twaha and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya.
Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Samburi conveyed the greetings from Governor Amason Kingi who did not attend the meeting.
