Amani National Congress (ANC) party has unveiled Hon Simon Kamau Gikuru as the new party Secretary General months after Hon Barack Muluka resigned over mistrust with the party top leadership allegations.
The former deputy prime minister named Simon Gikuru as the best replacement for Barack Muluka during his two-day tour in Meru county where he was flanked by ANC party allied MPs including Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala, Vihiga Women Rep Beatrice Adagala, Lugari MP Ayub Savula among other “Uchumi Bora” crusaders.
“Today as a party we have made strides by unveiling Simon Kamau Gikuru as ANC’s New Secretary General. ANC Party is determined to reach all parts of our great nation with a message of peace and economic recovery. As the party leader I will ensure on the negotiating table, the youth, women and people living with disabilities are all part of the policy decision making” Mudavadi said
Simon Gikuru will now fold his sleeves and take up the party leadership mantle and forge better and appropriate plans for Mudavadi’s 2022 presidential bid who seeks to wrestle down ODM party leader Raila Odinga, DP Ruto, Gideon Moi, Fred Matiang’i, Kalonzo Musyoka, Jimmy Wanjigi, Mwangi Wa Iria among other potential candidates interested for the same seat.
