Top aviation aviation company, 748 Air Services has announced draft changes in its flight schedules as part of fresh plans to strengthen its presence and positively strategize improvement in the service delivery in key domestic routes as the festive season approaches.
748 air has increased its flight frequency to the coastal region tourism circuit and adjust departure and arrival times to Mombasa and Ukunda effective 1st December 2021.
With the curfew being lifted and more people getting vaccinated, 748 Air Services Managing Director Moses Mwangi said that the increase of people travelling for leisure to the coast resulting to an increase in flights to the routes above.
The carrier has also imputed a third midday frequency to Mombasa, subsequently making it three daily flights to the final destination.
Intriguingly, departure and arrival times for flights in the aforesaid routes have changed with the first flight from JKIA departing from 9.00 AM and arrive at Moi International Airport by 10.00 Am.
The midday flight will take off from JKIA at 1.00p.m and revert back from Moi International Airport at 3.00 p.m.
The evening flight to Mombasa will on the other hand depart at 5.00 p.m and leave from Moi International Airport at 7.00 p.m.
For Ukunda route, a morning frequency has been introduced for travellers with the flight departing from JKIA at 8.30 am.
“To meet demand during peak tourism season and ensure our customers continue to seamlessly get the best service with no delays, we have added 2 Dash 8-Q400s to our fleet” said 748 Air Services Chairman, Ahmed Jibril.
The newly acquired 2 Bombardier Dash 8 – Q400 aircraft will foot for the anticipated increase in the number of customers on these routes over the coming festive season.
However, daily flights to Kisumu have been reduced to one afternoon frequency for efficiency in service discharge.
